Schroeder's in Mainz

I have to say that I ate there with my wife before the lockdown and the quality of the food has clearly decreased, which you can taste. The sauce for the cream schnitzel is barely available, the schnitzels look like they have been prepared in advance and then kept warm for hours, the fries were sometimes better, and the salad that was served with it was as good as no dressing, I just don't understand why it got so bad. When I moved to Mainz it was really one of the best restaurants with the best schnitzels I've ever eaten. I have the impression that the chef or owner has changed. We were really shocked by the poor quality of the last meal. The service takes forever, we waited 20 minutes for our drinks.

Nice corner bar, here you can revive the charm of the old Neustadt bar scene very well. Super friendly! And very lovingly prepared food! Price / performance top! Service and quality anyway

restricted due to corona. everything sugar-sweet heating was switched off and therefore really damn cold ... had to eat in a leather jacket ? I like the store itself, but I can actually get the limited offer better at home (sry) will come again when it goes back to normal soon ...

If you like a quick beer and small snacks, this is the place for you. Typical football pub.

I often come here for lunch. The food is first class & inexpensive and the service is very nice. There was a little bit of salad on the plate and I got an extra portion without being asked. The ambience and the furnishings are also very nice. With a lot of activity, it sometimes takes a few minutes longer, but the schnitzel is unsurpassed.

Nice pub on the corner. Beer is good. Cake decadently delicious.

Reasonable prices, good service and solid food! Since the tenant changed, I've been here for lunch around every two weeks and have to say that the food has improved significantly. Overall, I have the impression that you put a lot of effort into it.

Good food with reasonable prices

Unfortunately, the staff is totally overwhelmed, too many tables, too few staff and apparently a much too small kitchen. The good food and the relaxed atmosphere can not improve the mood any more. It does not take more than 2 hours to wait for the food after ordering. Compliment to the staff, the effort and friendly was nevertheless.

Food was delicious, atmosphere relaxed. But wait 40 minutes to get a card and order and wait 2 hours for the food spoils the mood, unfortunately it was no exception and now the third time. Either you have to set up less tables or hire more staff.

The Schröders is now one of our regular bars. Every Monday is schnitzel day and the schnitzels are always delicious. The portion is big and all sauces taste great. The owner is very accommodating and the atmosphere is generally very pleasant
